1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern access to and use of JOTBAH. By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using the service, you agree to these Terms on your own behalf and, when applicable, on behalf of the church, ministry, or other organization you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The JOTBAH service
JOTBAH is a ministry and church operations and content platform. Depending on enabled features, it may support member and people management, ministry care, communications, content planning, social publishing, scheduling, media, assignments, approvals, reporting, giving-related records, Scripture presentation, and other ministry workflows.
Features may be introduced, changed, suspended, or retired as the service evolves. Some capabilities depend on an organization's configuration, permissions, subscription, or third-party providers.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information, use the service only through an account you are authorized to access, and keep passwords, multifactor-authentication methods, recovery information, and session credentials secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by JOTBAH's breach of these Terms.
Notify JOTBAH promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. JOTBAH may require identity or authorization checks before restoring access or performing sensitive account actions.
4. Organization responsibilities
Each church, ministry, or organization controls its workspace, users, roles, members and contacts, content, communications, schedules, and connected provider accounts. The organization is responsible for deciding what information to collect, who may access it, and how its users act within the service.
Workspace administrators must grant access appropriately and remove access when it is no longer authorized. JOTBAH does not determine an organization's ministry policies, membership decisions, communications audiences, or published viewpoints.
5. Authorized and prohibited use
You may use JOTBAH for lawful ministry, church, organizational, and related business purposes consistent with your permissions and these Terms.
- Do not use the service for unlawful activity, spam, harassment, threats, discrimination, fraud, or impersonation.
- Do not access another account, organization, record, system, or provider without authorization.
- Do not introduce malware, probe or bypass security controls, disrupt the service, or abuse rate limits or provider APIs.
- Do not upload or publish content that infringes rights, violates law, or exceeds permissions granted by its owner.
- Do not misrepresent JOTBAH, connected providers, or the source or approval status of content and communications.
6. Your content
You and your organization retain ownership of content and data submitted to JOTBAH. You grant JOTBAH a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, format, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the requested service.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit, process, communicate, and publish the content you provide. JOTBAH does not acquire ownership of an organization's member records, media, messages, or ministry content.
7. Connected services
JOTBAH may connect, at an organization's request, with services such as Meta/Facebook/Instagram, Google/YouTube, TikTok, X, Twilio, payment or giving providers, and other platforms. Connected services are optional and are governed by their own terms, policies, permissions, review processes, and availability.
JOTBAH does not control third-party providers. Their APIs, policies, access tokens, reviews, features, or availability may change, and connected accounts may require reauthorization. You are responsible for complying with provider rules when using an integration.
8. Communications
Organizations are responsible for obtaining and documenting lawful consent before sending email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other communications, and for honoring opt-outs, suppressions, carrier requirements, provider policies, and applicable law. Consent for one channel does not automatically establish consent for another.
JOTBAH may provide tools for composing, scheduling, approving, sending, recording, and reconciling communications, but the organization remains responsible for its recipients, content, timing, sender identity, and legal basis.
9. Social publishing
Users remain responsible for the content, destination, media, permissions, and audience they approve or publish. JOTBAH may facilitate review, scheduling, submission, and status reconciliation, but cannot guarantee that a provider will accept, process, display, retain, or deliver content at a particular time.
Do not use JOTBAH to evade provider review, platform restrictions, account limits, or content rules.
10. AI-assisted features
AI-assisted suggestions, captions, plans, summaries, and other generated material are drafts. They may be incomplete or inaccurate and must be reviewed by an authorized person before use. Where JOTBAH provides an approval workflow, users must not bypass it.
Your organization is responsible for the final content it approves, publishes, presents, or sends, including factual, theological, pastoral, legal, and rights-clearance review appropriate to its use.
11. Fees and subscriptions
Some JOTBAH features may require a paid subscription or separately priced service. Applicable plan details, fees, billing intervals, taxes, and renewal information will be presented through the ordering or account-management process. You authorize charges you approve and agree to keep billing information current.
Unless a written order or applicable law states otherwise, fees and service changes are governed by the terms presented when the relevant subscription is purchased or changed.
12. Availability and changes
JOTBAH works to provide a reliable service but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, security incidents, provider outages, internet conditions, and other events may affect features. JOTBAH may modify the service to improve it, address risk, comply with law, or respond to provider requirements.
13. Security
JOTBAH uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information and service access. No system can guarantee absolute security. You must use available security controls and promptly report suspected misuse.
14. Suspension and termination
JOTBAH may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security risk, unlawful or abusive use, nonpayment, provider requirements, or a material breach of these Terms. Where practical, JOTBAH will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
You may stop using JOTBAH or end a subscription according to the applicable account or order process. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute terms—will survive.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JOTBAH is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. JOTBAH disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing. This does not exclude warranties that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JOTBAH and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising from the service. Any direct liability will be limited to a reasonable amount in light of the services and fees involved, except where applicable law does not permit that limitation.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability arising from fraud or willful misconduct where applicable.
17. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, an organization agrees to defend and indemnify JOTBAH and its operators from third-party claims arising from that organization's content, communications, connected accounts, violation of law or provider terms, or material breach of these Terms. JOTBAH will provide reasonable notice and cooperation, and will not settle a covered claim in a way that admits wrongdoing by the organization without consent.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the JOTBAH operating entity and the relationship at issue, without overriding mandatory rights that apply to you. Because JOTBAH has not designated a single public jurisdiction for all users, these Terms do not assign an unsupported state or country.
Before filing a formal claim, please contact JOTBAH so the parties can attempt to resolve the matter in good faith. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will proceed in a court or forum with lawful jurisdiction over the parties and dispute.
19. Changes to these Terms
JOTBAH may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, security, or provider changes. The updated version will show its effective date. When changes are material, JOTBAH may provide additional notice through the service or another appropriate channel. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
